We are a shetland pony stud based in the Shetland Islands.

Our stud started in 1987 when brothers Peter and Arthur Laurenson bought our first ponies, Greig of Sumburgh and Lucky Sue, at the local auctions here in Shetland.

​

The stud continued with other family members joining including Peter's son Michael and Arthur's daughter Carole. Michael and Carole took over the full stud after the brothers passing in the mid 00s.

This website shows the ponies owned by Michael who is helped by his 3 daughters. Michael first took part in the stud when he bought his first pony in 1992. This half of the stud now consists of nearly 40 ponies that are all part of the Brygarth family.

​

This half of the stud focuses mainly on miniatures but with a growing interest in Standards as our Standard herd grows.

Our ponies take part in local shows as well as events in Shetland where people get to meet some of our lovely ponies.
